At first encounter he appears all polish and pale tailoring, but those who linger discover something deeper. Beneath the brightness rests a cultivated richness, dark as ripening berries warmed by the southern sun.

He favours terrace mornings, salt-touched air, and conversation that carries both lift and substance. Never sharp, never heavy, he holds his composure with an ease that feels entirely seasonal.

The Riviera Viscount approaches the table with seasonal ease and a quiet expectation of light. Gently warmed rather than hurried, his crumb softens and opens, revealing brightness first and depth thereafter. He rewards patience.

At breakfast, he favours generosity without excess. Thick slices are best met with cultured salted butter, applied liberally, followed by a spoon of lemon curd. The butter tempers his radiance; the curd sharpens it. Fresh blueberries alongside are welcome, but never compulsory. The morning should feel lifted, not laden.

By late morning, he proves equally composed beneath whipped mascarpone or ricotta, lightly sweetened and finished with a trace of lemon zest. A restrained blueberry compote, warmed just enough to loosen its richness, sits comfortably at his side. Always balanced. Nothing cloying.

The Riviera Viscount is best enjoyed fresh within 24–48 hours of his arrival — his crust proud, his crumb lively. To keep him in fine form, rest him cut-side down upon a board or wrap him in paper; never plastic, for it dulls both spirit and crust alike.

Should the days run on, he remains ever-dependable: warm him gently at 170°C for 6–8 minutes to revive his noble character. For longer keeping, slice before freezing — he thaws gracefully, ready to toast and serve as if newly baked.

Avoid refrigeration; it tempers his tang and lessens his charm.
